Learn unique and exciting ways to use Tarot & build your connection with Spirit every week!
I always wanted a way to get personal weekly forecasts to navigate my life. Astrology is too broad, and guidance from online tarot readers is hit-and-miss. Even channelers were not always inspiring.
Since no outside source was available, I learned to do this for myself, and it continues as the most valuable tool on my spiritual path.
After decades of working with Spirit and Tarot, I have grown and healed all that I have asked to and received powerful gifts and miracles along the way.
I believe others would benefit from weekly forecasts, messages, and healings as I have. The good news is you don’t have to figure out how to do it for yourself first. I’m here to do this for you! And I will show you techniques to understand Tarot in new and deep ways as you also build your connection to Spirit.
I am doing group gatherings on Mondays to offer personal weekly guidance! In addition, you’ll gain methods to access your own esoteric and intuitive knowledge. Through Tarot and connecting with your own Spirit Guides each week, you will enhance your life and grow in to your potential.

For me, spirituality has nothing to do with God, or devotion, or being of service. Instead, it is about being the most authentic version of myself.
The ‘me’ without the pain of traumas or triggers. The ‘me’ free from the mistakes of my past. The ‘me’ without concern about or censure from others and how they view me.
My spirituality teaches me to be who I am without apology or fear of being punished by those who disapprove. For this reason, spirituality has given me freedom in its truest sense.
No matter what happens in my life, I am free to be me. The joy of that freedom is a thread that runs through me and is always present.
My spiritual path is a spiraling inward journey; it plunges me deep into my soul, freeing what’s held captive. To me, spirituality has been my savior, my liberator and my way out of the self-inflicted torture of the mind.
My mind held me captive by using judgment, fear, guilt, and shame. These have kept my heart and the truth of who I am subjugated in thrall. Unable to express myself and even fearing knowing myself, I held my heart at bay.
I grew to fear my power, my knowing, and my soul. My first step on my spiritual path was to get to know my heart. And later I understood that the heart, in its true wisdom, is a portal to the soul and the soul connects to Divinity.
Once my soul awakened, the heavens opened, and I got to know my authentic self. Truth was not a painful experience filled with trauma and fear. My heart had wisdom I previously ignored. And when the Grace of Divinity guides the way, the path is clear.
The treasures within are abundant and still being discovered. Yet now that I may have access to Love, Truth and Grace I can find as many gifts as I wish.

If you want to go deeper to discover more about these complex and multi-faceted teachings, please consider joining our upcoming class. I am leading a 16-week course. Each four weeks will highlight practices, lessons and discussions on how to live daily life with each divine aspect.
This is an interactive, LIVE, on-line, and open discussion course for spiritual seekers of all beliefs and experience.
As Above So Below, The Gifts of Heaven are the Birthright of Humanity
We need not be religious or spiritual; we need not believe in God, and we need not be without sin to receive the gifts that bless this world.
Creativity, Grace, Truth and Love are available to us all, just as is life itself. The idea of Heaven on Earth has been a faraway dream. It has only been a promise made in prophecy, or a wish of our spiritual teachers and ministers, with no hope of seeing it in our lifetimes.
But we already have the gifts of Heaven on Earth. We need only learn how to incorporate them into our reality and have the desire to do so.
There are four primary aspects of divinity, or Heaven, that we can work with to have the life we desire.
The first divine aspect is Creation. The Divine Being, the power that rules the Heavens, created All That Is. A non-physical consciousness created all the physical world, whatever you believe that to be. Creation is not only the power of divinity to create life, but a gift from heaven given to humanity. To live is to create. With every breath, we create our world. Our world reflects our beliefs, our soul’s desires, and our wishes. For those who love to make new things, art, inventions, cooking and such, the act of creation is a feeling of connection with Spirit and our soul. It feels great to create because it is a natural expression of our own divine nature.
Through creativity, we are bringing Heaven to Earth and incorporating the power of divinity.
The second divine aspect is Truth. In the heavenly realms, there is no illusion. Illusion creates fear, anxiety, worry and so on. Illusion clouds our senses and obstructs the Truth from coming to light. When a sensitive person is being lied to, they will feel confused, and it is hard to see past that feeling of confusion. This makes manipulation effective.
Confusion is like a blockade to getting to what is real. The psychically attuned can feel frustrated by this but still not be able to see through the chaos of confusion. Lies are the tool of those seeking power over others and can be a destructive force for the world. But once the Truth comes to light, we feel relief, even it if its painful relief, and healing can begin. The Truth always heals. Seek the Truth and you will find healing.
Spirit has taught me that to know the Truth one must speak the truth. I have found this to be the easiest way to get more insight into the world around me. By always speaking the truth, I can get to know the Truth of my personal life and universal Truths that guide us all.
But there are two caveats to this simple practice. One is that not all truths need to be shared with the world. We must hold Truth to be sacred and trust that it will become revealed to others when the time is right.
Learning things others don’t know is for personal benefit. We will receive guidance to share knowledge when it benefits others. Until then, hold the Truth as a sacred honor and keep it private.
Honor the Truth and more will become known to you.
The second caveat is that when lying is for protection, it will not influence your ability to know the Truth. People often lie to protect themselves from harm or dangerous situations. If you lied about something, ask yourself why you did it. Then examine your reasons to see if it is for protection, and make sure it is not for manipulation or another reason.
Be very clear and self-aware about your reasons for lying.
The third divine aspect is Love. When love is present in what we do, what we manifest and what we wish for, then it is life-affirming and will bring happiness. Love powers the motor that keeps the world turning. Doing things for reasons other than love can create a toxic or destructive existence. For example, ask yourself why you are doing what you are doing. You can start with big questions like why you chose the profession you chose, or why you married the person you married.
These questions can help you see your intentions and then you can reflect on how it turned out for you. Sometimes people can fool themselves into believing they are marrying for love when in fact they are marrying for status, convenience or because they think they are doing the right thing. It can be not until the marriage is over that they see the real reason they did it. If it is a reason that is other than Love, then that could be the reason the union was on a destructive path.
Before you make a life-changing decision, ask yourself if it really is because you would love to do it, and for no other reason. If you seek to be an artist because you love creative expression, it will bless your life in extraordinary ways. But if you seek to be an artist because you want recognition, fame or status, then it will be detrimental to your well-being and your life.
Be aware of why you are doing what you are doing so that you make choices based on Love.
The final divine aspect I will add here is Grace. Grace is a power that exalts all who practice it. Grace brings peace and harmony to the world, but it is a mysterious energy. From the perspective of the Heavens, it means that punishment does not exist. There is no karma outside the physical realms. There is only Grace. When we are in a state of Grace, we do not need revenge, drama, or chaos. Grace perfectly aligns us with All That Is. Through Grace we are in sync with the heartbeat of creation; we are in harmony with nature, and at peace with all of humanity. To get to a state of Grace, we can embrace acceptance and forgiveness. But does that mean we need to accept and forgive all the wrongs done to us from abusers? Or overcome our dysfunctional familial relationships? Or heal from our traumas? No, we do not need to become as unconditional as heavenly beings to have Grace in our lives.
We only need to keep this practice self-focused.
Give yourself Grace.
Give yourself Grace for all your shortcomings, all your mistakes, all your regrets and even all the harm you may have caused. Sit in solitude and let go of all the things you think are wrong with you. Then forgive yourself for having them. Forgive yourself for relationship failures. Forgive yourself for not doing more for a person who crossed. Forgive yourself for not being a better parent or child. Forgive yourself.
For those with an active conscience, punishment comes from within. Self-imposed punishment creates a life unfulfilled of its potential. One always holds back for fear of making more mistakes that will lead to more regrets, guilt, and shame. Grace lifts us out of this fear and takes us into places that we could barely allow ourselves to dream of.
Grace is our birthright, and Grace only requires that we accept and forgive ourselves.
The practice of using these aspects is as simple as being aware and taking some time to consider them. Bring these things to mind as you meditate, or take a drive, as you go for your daily walk, or simply sit in the moment’s quiet. With a bit of time, practice, and awareness, your life, in body, mind, and heart, will incorporate the power of Heaven on Earth.

There is a principle in healing that we cannot heal what we do not see. Old wounds come up at the perfect time to be healed. Every wound we try to forget and hide away unconsciously will, in time, reveal itself when we are ready to heal it. This is true with personal and collective consciousness.
After the initial pain of the revealing settles down, my spiritual practices help me come to a place of healing. By meditating and connecting with Spirit, I see my challenges as chances for growth. I use their energy and guidance to create a way forward that is life-affirming, soul-expanding, and transformational.
I would like to share with you the way I do this in harmony with the Healing Angels, Ancestors, Star Nations and Spirit Guides. With their help, it is easy to see the way forward is a way of power, of love, and of joy.
Spiritual people who live in this age are here to share their Light in the darkest of times. Our mission is not for the faint of heart. The good news is that we are not doing this alone. We have each other, and we have an army of other-worldly beings at our service. Let us use their power, wisdom and energy to help us have the strength, vision and fortitude to create the life experience leading us out of the dark times.
I am offering a community gathering to receive healing and messages from our allies in the other realms. We gather on Thursday, November 7 at 3pm Pacific, 6pm Eastern time on Google Meet. Please message me to get the link. This is a gratis event, and we can meet just once or keep on meeting as we wish.

Our power is our love for this world and all life in it.
Science can explore the wonders of the universe, why can’t it prove the afterlife is real?
Science unlocks the mysteries of the wonders of the world. Scientific minds explore the universe to find cures for all that ails us and have the answers to all that confounds us. Even more importantly, scientific discoveries guide us into a future of possibilities. Science makes the physical world less of a mystery and more of a partner as humanity grows to fulfill its potential.
But there is one thing science cannot discover; no matter how earnestly it looks. And no matter how advanced the tools are, science will never prove that Spirit exists. It cannot prove the existence of an afterlife, the soul, God, or Spirit. That is not within its power.
Science will search to the edges of the universe and never find God.
Why not?
Spirit lives in the non-physical world, known as the metaphysical world, where science cannot reach. Spirit dwells in a place where the tools of physical sciences are useless. Only the hearts of seekers, mystics, seers, and casually curious individuals like you can unveil the realm of Spirit.
One must seek proof of Spirit through one’s own heart. Your connection to all that is metaphysical is through the portal known as the heart.
Getting to know your own heart is getting to know what science cannot. Within the heart is where the soul communicates with our mind. Within the heart is where we connect to our intuition. Within the heart, Divinity meets our being. We need not be pure, ascended, or awakened to know God, Divinity or Spirit.
Through a simple technique, we can find the Divine within and discover that which science shall never see. We are never without the guidance we seek. We only need to sit still for a moment to receive the wisdom of the Divine mind. I offer here a short meditation practice to open the connection between your heart and your mind. This will open a way for Divinity to make itself known to you. It will take time and patience. I find doing this a few times a week is effective. Yet, you can do it every day if you like.
Take a moment to get comfortable. Then settle and center your energy by taking three long deep breaths in the nose and following with a long exhale out of the mouth. People commonly refer to these as cleansing breaths. Then, with your eyes closed, start circular breathing, in and out of the nose in a gentle rhythm. Tune in to how that feels. Take a moment to check the comfort of your body and watch the natural rhythm of your breath. Once you feel settled, notice how your heart feels.
Tune in to your emotional body, your heart, by checking with your heart center. To do this, you can imagine a light at the center of your chest or place a hand on your chest to focus your attention there. If it feels unsettled, take a moment to focus on peace.
Giving attention to the feeling of peace calms your energy so you can have a clear connection. If you have trouble getting a sense of peace in your heart, wait a few moments and do some gentle breathing in and out of your nose. If you still feel unsettled, compete the meditation and try again the next day. Each day, it will become easier with a bit of patience and practice.
If you can feel the peace of the heart center, sit for a moment with it. It feels wonderful to be in the presence of peace. Take as long as you like here.
Now that you have peace, you can ask a question. Ask your heart a question about what is troubling you, what worries you, or for help with what is frustrating you. You can ask a question such as, “what can I do about my job?” Then sit for a moment, just waiting. Do not think of an answer. Be present with the question and just wait. Be in silence to allow for the answer to appear or emerge. It could come as a feeling, a nudge, an image or a color. It could even come as a thought or a phrase. The important thing is to allow it to come without cluttering your mind with guesses.
You can ask any type of question you like. The only rule is that your question is about you, not another. Asking if someone else will do something or what they are thinking causes trouble for reasons I will not get in to here. Keep the focus on getting wisdom, help and guidance for you and only you. This is a moment for your benefit.
Once you ask, sit and wait for about a minute. After a minute, complete the meditation by taking a deep breath in through your nose and exhaling through your mouth. Then make a note of what came in and go on with your day.
The important thing about this meditation is doing this meditation. Even if you got nothing, it still worked. You opened a path to wisdom. The answers may come later in the day, in a dream, or while you are doing a rote task. Over time, the answers will become easier, clearer, and you may not even need to do the meditation to get them. Being patient with this practice and disciplined enough to devote a few times a week to it is all you need.
Know that Spirit is not loud. The loud, insistent voice in your mind comes from the ego. The knowledge of the Divine mind you were born with awakens in subtle ways. It is a wisp of a thought, a nudge, or a gentle feeling. The way of Spirit is always quiet.
Science is not the tool for spiritual exploration, but spiritual seekers do not need it as proof of God. We only need to get to know our own heart to know Divinity. Once we do this, many more miraculous discoveries await.

We love a bit of spooky in our lives. If we believe in ghosts, this time of year can be exciting. It is fun to think there may be things we cannot explain; that the supernatural is alive and well.
Belief plays a big role in how we perceive the unseen worlds and etheric beings. For those who do not believe in ghosts, it is unlikely they will have encounters with them. Yet, many of us do believe and have had many experiences with ghosts. Our belief does not just affect howwe see them. Ghosts respond to us how we expect them to behave. In other words, how I believe in them makes a vast difference to how they interact with me too.
Through my supernatural experiences, I have learned how they operate, including what ghosts can and cannot do. What I offer here is a quick safety guide to help you have a happy Halloween while seeking spooky fun and enjoying some thrills with safety in mind.
If you attend a séance or tour a haunted location, I say go for it but first prepare yourself with knowledge. Below, I list some common misconceptions about ghosts. As you go over this, check in with your own belief system to see if you can accept these insights. If you can accept the answers below you have a great deal of protection already!
1. Can ghosts kill you?
The short answer is no, not under any circumstances. The long answer is no because that would be murder, and murder causes a karmic bond. One must be living to create a karmic bond.
2. Can ghosts harm you?
Yes. But, believe it or not, they can only hurt you with your permission. You must believe they can hurt you for harm to be done. Believing they can hurt you is giving them permission to do so.
3. Can ghosts attach themselves to you?
Yes. If they feel they can get energy from you, they will want to be around you 24/7. This constant hovering feels draining and means they are unusually attracted to you.
4. Why do ghosts want energy from you?
It empowers them. It is the bread that feeds their existence. The best source of energy is simply your attention. Trying to communicate with them. Wanting to know more about them. Your pity, desire to help, or simple curiosity feeds them to the point of never wanting to leave you.
Their other source of energy is your fear. If they can make you afraid, it is like a booster pack of fuel for their existence. If you are afraid, it gives them enough power to move objects even to the point of throwing them, slamming doors and creating actual damage in your space.
5. Are ghosts always strangers?
Not always. Moved objects and lights flickering can be from visiting relatives stopping by for a moment. But if it goes on frequently over time and makes you afraid, frustrated or annoyed, it may be an entity only interested in your energy.
6. What is so bad about giving them energy?
It lowers our energy levels.
When our energy levels are low, we become more vulnerable to various illnesses like cancer, fatigue syndromes, colds, and viruses. We are even more likely to have clumsiness and brain fog that can lead to accidents and severe injuries. I know people who live with ghosts and have had many bouts with the above-listed problems. Still, they insist on not getting rid of the resident ghost attached to them. It can be a very sad situation.
The ghost may not kill them, but allowing a ghost to live with them might, over time, cause a shorter life.
7. How can you protect yourself from a ghost?
a) A big part of your protection is simply your beliefs about ghosts.
If you feel ghosts can control you and your space, it’s nearly impossible to protect yourself. Shift that belief by reminding yourself that this physical world and all the things in it are humanity’s domain. Non-physical beings cannot be here without our permission, belief, or request. If you own your space with dominance they will not be empowered to stick around.
b) Know to your core that it is your space, your life, and your will. That will keep you clear from ghosts. If you get a sense of an entity near you, all you need to do is say “get out” or “go away” and it must leave. Mean it, though. If you are just saying it to see if it works, then it won’t work. Mean it with aggressive energy as though you are protecting a precious person from a very dangerous predator. You are protecting a precious person, yourself! You do not need to know why it is there, what it wants, or if you can help it. That is not your job. It would most likely lie, even if you could get a story from it. There is no point in getting to know a ghost. It has nothing to offer you.
c) If you’re still feeling uneasy after telling it to go away, try clearing the space. There are many ways to do this with sage, salt water, holy water, chants and so on. You can look many up on YouTube.
I prefer simplicity. I live in a very haunted town. Occasionally, an entity passes through my space. It typically happens at night when I am already comfortable in bed. Instead of getting out of bed, I will tell it to “get out,” not loudly, but I mean it with the force of all my will. Then I will ask Archangel Michael to take it away and protect my space from any and all uninvited interlopers, entities and beings and protect me from those beings who do not support me in love. Simple. It works every time.
You can always do a weekly clearing and protection ceremony to keep things clear if you feel called.
Think of ghosts, not as people but as entities who are energy vampires. Personally, I am not called to help them, tune in to them or investigate them. I know ceremonies that can help them to the other side and have done them for property owners who have a difficult time with them. But those ceremonies are not useful if the property owner has any attachment to having a ghost or feels they have no agency over them.
Before clearing non-physical beings from a place, make sure you get permission from the property owner or the land’s spirit guardians. Otherwise, you’re just cosplaying a ghostbuster and will not work at all.
Prior to going to a place or event where spirits are invited or already present, utilize your spiritual practices for protection. You should do whatever spiritual practices you are comfortable with. These are things such as prayer, meditation, smudging, or more.
Knowing you have the power over these entities, and utilizing the messages here, will help protect you whenever you feel afraid ghosts might be nearby.

Once the day has ended and we gather our space in comfort for rest, an extraordinary thing happens. We meet our friends in the astral and our souls celebrate the meeting. As sleeping clears out the mind clutter by filing away our day’s experiences and helps the body heal, the part of us that is our soul consciousness travels to a place without form. The place between Heaven and Earth. The astral plane.
The astral plane can represent any kind of place we are familiar with. It is a place our thoughts create when we visit. It may look like a café, a childhood home, or a fantastic planet. We create how the place appears, and, in this place, all things are possible. Flying, breathing underwater, and telepathy, to name a few common experiences here.
Here we meet with those we are grieving. When we can meet with and reconnect with them as though they never really left, it eases the pain of their loss. For a moment, as our body rests in the earthly realm, our souls reconnect and share the love we had in life. We can have a coffee or a glass of wine and catch up with what has been happening since they parted. Love connects us all throughout space and time. Love is present no matter what realm or dimension separates us. Though we may not remember these meetings, our soul will carry back the joy of the encounter into the unconscious self. In this way, we heal our grief. Our waking mind may never know of these nightly encounters, but our unconscious has the knowing that all is well with our lost loved one.
As time passes and our grief subsides, and our mind, body, and heart heal, we may start remembering these loving encounters. But if a dream of meeting them in the non-earthly realm causes you more pain, then you will suppress the dream until you can think of them with a smile instead of tears.
Grief takes on many forms and eases over time slowly. These astral connections are helping the unconscious remember there is no separation where love is present. Know that those you have lost are never far away. Many of you see them every night!

Building communication and connection to Spirit can be a joyful experience!
I woke up at exactly 5:55am. Normally it would be an irritation to be awoken 5 minutes before my alarm went off, but on this day, it made me smile.
Let me explain.
It was the answer to a prayer. I had been working on connecting with Spirit. I read books on channeling Spirit Guides and Angels, and I read channeled materials from all the well-known psychic mediums. It seemed my desire to channel was out of reach because I didn’t have the ‘gift’. I practiced and prayed, and I got nothing.
Spirit Guides were an enigma to me, yet there wasn’t a time when I didn’t believe in their existence. It made sense to me that God wouldn’t send us to Earth without backup. I thought of them as beings who helped God make things easier for us. I knew they gave us protection and helped soothe us, but the most important gift they gave us is to remind us we are never alone.
This I knew in my heart as the foundational Truth of my soul.
I felt if I could get messages from them, my life would be so much easier. With hearing their wisdom, getting their insight and filled with their inspiration, my life would fall into place with ease. So, I set out on a quest to channel my Spirit Guide with the determination of one obsessed. I had the passion, the fortitude and the drive to make it happen. But, with no knowledge of how they operate or what they could do, naturally, I spent most of the time making all the mistakes of one unfamiliar with the ways of Spirit.
I became a master of how not to channel Spirit. I needed a break.
After taking a step back, I evaluated my intentions, let go of preconceived notions and other people’s beliefs. Then I finally got on the right track. The mysterious world of Spirit began to slowly and purposefully open before me. This happened because instead of beating myself up for not hearing them, not seeing them and not getting a message, I decided to ask them for favors.
I asked for things that would help me know they were there. I wanted to be sure that what I knew to be true was Truth. That is why I asked them to wake me up 5 minutes before my alarm when off. I made the ask of them before I went to sleep the night before. I spoke a silent prayer to my Spirit Guide and ONLY my Spirit Guide to wake me up 5 minutes before my alarm went off. When it happened, waking up to my clock at 5:55 was magical.
I was so happy and encouraged! I asked for more and more gifts, mundane and energetic. Asking for gifts of all types and interacting with Spirit on this playful level helped me to relax and receive more from them. Over time, I could communicate with them to the point of becoming an expert channel.
Through my journey of these and more powerful discoveries, they have taught me how they can help us and all the ways in which they can never help us. I have learned their Sacred Laws, their divine perspective, and what it is like in their heavenly world.
It is time to share all of it!
But first, I offer you a challenge. Ask them to wake you up a few minutes before your alarm is set. Be sure to be specific. Ask for your Spirit Guide and ONLY your Spirit Guide to wake you up at a specific time or 5 minutes before your alarm goes off. You need to ask specifically for your Spirit Guide to do this so that no other being or entity interferes with this process. Those of you sensitive to supernatural activity are especially in need of this intention to be clear. We don’t want any negative energy to answer the call to wake you. You only want the divine being known as your Spirit Guide to do this.
What if it doesn’t work? No problem. Think of this as an experiment. If it doesn’t work, ask again the next night. If it still doesn’t work, evaluate your beliefs. If you do not at least think there is a possibility that Spirit can do this, then it may not work. The reason being is that your Spirit Guide honors your beliefs and will do nothing to override what you believe to be true. It is part of the Sacred Laws I mentioned above. Aside from your beliefs, there are other reasons it may not work.
We will get into all the fine print and grander workings of Spirit Guides in our class, “The Spirituality of Spirit Guides.”

I always thought a lot about spirituality, although I did not grow up in a religious household or regularly attend a church. I admired those who devoted themselves to their beliefs. The praying nun, the meditating monk, and all those who cloistered themselves in silence to hear the divine. I felt they had access to a mystery that was out of reach for me. A mystery I could never learn about or be a part of.
I felt there had to be another path to divine wisdom. Another way to access the esoteric mysteries that held the Truth. One that would not require giving up my entire mundane life and moving into an ashram. In mid-life, this curiosity led me down the path of awakening. I became involved in a Wiccan community, where I took part in inclusive and dynamic spiritual events, classes, and ceremonies. It suited me well. Through these things I was awakening, although I didn’t know it.
Awakening is unique to all who experience it, yet I notice a pattern. The process starts with the rejection of a long-held belief and embracing the potential of all other possibilities. It can come as a sudden realization or a gradual disillusionment. It can shatter one’s world or create the first steps on a long journey of change.
But no matter how it manifests in one’s life, awakening is a quest to seek the Truth.
Whether awakening starts as an “ah-ha” moment or a long discovery, it gets complicated from there. Awakening is a peek behind the veil of illusion. But for those who are not ready for it, untrained in self-awareness techniques, or have unexplored trauma, this can cause chaos and even more illusion. If you awaken without being aware of yourself, it can make your fear, paranoia, depression, or low self-esteem worse.
I had one teacher state it something like this, “when the third eye opens it activates our fears and phobias and our psychic senses.”
Our third eye represents the energy center of awakening, which reveals that which was previously hidden from us. It is the portal to our intuition. It is also the seat of fear. To get to the Truth that was being revealed, I had to address my fears and phobias. That was a very slow process.
Fear has a lot of flavors, hides behind so many assumptions, and manifests in unconscious ways. Fear can grip my heart with a strangling emotion of dread, disguise itself as guilt, it can be judgmental or even self-righteous. Fear manifests in ways that can still surprise me. Most of my fears, and I believe most fears of others, center on our perception of how others see us. The fear of being seen as less-than, not good enough or not fitting in is strong in our world. It motivates our drive for status, money, success, and beauty.
After reflecting on these things, I realized I needed to release the fear of people thinking negatively about me and work towards being unaffected by the perceptions of others. The only way to be authentically me was to let go of the need to please, appease, and garner favor from others. That has taken a great deal of time. The programming ran deep into my childhood and birth culture. It took a lot of time, energy, and fortitude to deprogram what I was born into.
It is a huge process to do this, yet without addressing my fears I would only know partial truths or even misinterpret what I was getting intuitively. Not being able to trust my intuition or my inner wisdom would block any progress I may make on my path of Truth. Accessing my spiritual purpose is reliant on trusting myself. If my fears were making me see things differently and making it hard to trust myself, then why bother continuing? I had to be courageous and face the fears that hid in the deepest recesses of my consciousness. Fear is not as obvious as what we feel when we are in a dangerous situation. Most fears are as quiet as a pin drop, and we must be sensitive to each fluctuation in our thoughts, moods, and energy to notice them.
Pay attention! That is the best spiritual advice I can give anyone. Watch your thoughts and your feelings. See how they influence you. Then ask yourself why you are having those thoughts and feelings. Do it again and again. Do it in meditation, as you are on a peaceful drive, as you bathe, as you live your life in the quiet moments of being. You do not need a special meditation technique to access what hides in the mind. You only need to pay attention to what comes up for you and examine it in a quiet state of mind. Ask yourself why you have that thought or feeling and then be mindful of how it influences you or causes you fear.
This is true self-awareness.
I have grown in extraordinary ways and seen unimaginable things. I walk a path of unprecedented experiences and have access to the deepest wisdom behind the veil of illusion, all because of this practice. It did not come easy. But the more difficulties that came up through this process, the more tools I learned to address them. Each fear I face and every demonstration of trust helps me build the path to take the next step. There is no spiritual path already laid out ahead of me. I must build it with the trust I have in myself.
Awakening may happen in a moment, but it takes discipline, courage, and fortitude to be awakened for a lifetime. Without self-awareness, awakening can become delusional, paranoid, and chaotic. We are seeing a wave of people say they are part of the Great Awakening only to espouse beliefs that cater to fear, such as conspiracy theories. This is not to disparage them but to use that experience as an example. I have no doubt they have awakened, but they have not faced their fears. The fear of the ‘other,’ the fear of not belonging, the fear they are powerless, and so on. Conspiracy theories help us feel validated in our fears and give us meaning behind our feelings of victimhood. This allows us to keep our sense of powerlessness and relinquish control over our belief system and consciousness. This is the antithesis of what awakening sets out to do for us.
In ancient times, the master of any supplicant who had not dealt with their fears did not reveal esoteric practices. Therefore, the process of the master who teaches the acolyte took years of long apprenticeships to ensure they were ready. You can see the great wisdom and reasoning behind this practice. You can see why it takes monks years of discipline to become enlightened, and a hermit may spend their life in solitude to get the connection to divinity they seek.
Awakening is just the beginning. After awakening, the genuine work of the spiritual path begins.
Most of us don’t have religious structures or ancient traditions to help us. We cannot find a master to sweep for. Living in a monastery is not possible. Becoming a hermit is not practical. Relying solely on a tradition to support your awakening is risky because many masters lack integrity, and religious leaders can be corrupt.
We only have ourselves and slivers of moments between caring for others, doing for our boss, maintaining a household, or working in our careers. But in truth, we can use these slivers to support our spiritual path simply by paying attention.
Make it your habit to notice what is going on with you. Be curious about every change of thought or feeling. Ask to know more from yourself and your awakening will not only continue, but it will create a pathway of wonders.

Superstition and spirituality are frequently mistaken as the same thing to capitalize on our fears.
Popular culture has a way of emphasizing what we fear and what we revere as a society. I do my best to keep up with the latest trends and shifts as illustrated in our movies, music, and social media. Yet, I also know how to stay in my lane as far as sharing my opinions on popular topics goes. I pay attention to it but do not comment. My expertise is in the spiritual world.
Pop culture has come into my lane, so I will share my take.
I just saw that there is a movie out called “Tarot” I didn’t have to look at the description to know it was a horror movie. Why wouldn’t it be? Hollywood loves making spiritual practices not only weird but dangerous and even deadly.
It is a way to take advantage of superstitions and fears surrounding occult practices. I don’t blame the movie makers for showing how our lack of spiritual awareness causes us to fear the healing practices of spiritual people. It is par for the course. But it seems it is time to change the course.
Note that I am only going to comment here on the premise of the movie “Tarot.” On Rotten Tomatoes the premise states, “When a group of friends recklessly violates the sacred rule of Tarot readings — never use someone else’s deck — they unknowingly unleash an unspeakable evil trapped within the cursed cards. One by one, they come face to face with fate and end up in a race against death to escape the future foretold in their readings.”
Let’s first talk about the use of tarot as a spiritual practice. Tarot is a guidance system that helps us navigate our lives. Most often, people use Tarot as a predictor to gain insight into where they are headed. I think of it as high-beam headlights. It allows us to look a little further down the road so we can navigate our lives better by telling us if there will be obstacles ahead. That is all. It is not strange.
Humanity has been using oracles of this nature since prehistory. Such as getting a reading on the energy patterns by throwing the bones, using runes, the yarrow stalks of I Ching, gazing at tea leaves, and such. These methods use random patterns or symbols to see what is to come. The difference with Tarot is that it is a modern oracle, fairly new on the scene of oracle history. But it follows the basic principles. The tarot itself is simply a deck of cards. No one has foreboding feelings about tea because tea leaves can be used as an oracle. Just as a deck of cards is just a deck of cards. I’m pretty sure you can’t trap evil in a deck of cards.
Let us get into the “sacred rule of Tarot readings — never use someone else’s deck…” This foreboding statement is a corruption of the common practice of respecting the spiritual tools of others by not touching them without permission.
Every spiritual practitioner, of every spiritual tradition I know of, has sacred tools. From altars and chalices to stones and cards. The rosary and the jewelry of the ordained. The power tools of the medicine healer such as pipes and drums as used in ceremonies. People treat these objects with respect and acknowledge that only the owner of the objects should touch them. It is a show of respect that they are not touched unless permitted by the owner, carrier, and keeper of them. These are sacred objects because they are objects that bridge the worlds of heaven and earth. It is customary practice to show reverence even if it is not your belief they are sacred. Just like it is customary not to wear someone else’s clothes without their permission. If you were to do it, it would not harm you, but it would be disrespectful.
Tarot decks are sacred objects for the serious spiritual practitioner, so no, you should not use them without the permission of the owner. But if you did, no harm would come to you other than the potential ire of the owner.
Let’s move on to predicting death using tarot. Typically, people do not use Tarot as an efficient method to predict death. But even if it predicted a death, a prediction is not a fact. One reason is that the future has not happened yet. (Theoretically, but let’s not get quantum.)
Correctly interpreting an oracle allows for the shifting, changing, and altering of anything it shows based on the actions that follow the prediction. When using tarot, anytime you get a prediction that is not pleasing, you can also ask tarot what you need to do to avoid that outcome. Back to the headlight analogy. Using the high beams helps avoid obstacles. You don’t see a pothole and think, “Oh well, I guess my tires are goners.” Knowing there is a pothole coming allows you to move out of the way. You can use tarot in the same way. Tarot doesn’t predict your fate; it predicts what lies ahead so you can change what is coming based on your desires. This makes using oracles empowering and even healing for the user.
Superstition is fear-based. Spirituality is faith-based.
Unfortunately, many link the two forms of belief, not seeing that superstition has nothing to do with spirituality. And spirituality is not superstitious.
Storytellers and even religions love to keep us confused on the matter because fear makes money. Fear is big business and keeps us in our smallness. There is a great deal of money being made from fear. Think about what you give your money, time, and attention to, and seek an understanding of why it is important to you.
The greatest step forward to empowerment is self-awareness. Get an understanding of what you fear and why. Do some soul-searching. Ask yourself why you feel the way you do. Ask yourself if it is reasonable or true for you to believe what you believe. Do this with everything you believe as it comes up, focusing on what makes you uncomfortable and dive deep into it.
Once you have a greater understanding of your fears, no one, not any one person in this world, can manipulate you.
Shedding your fears means you will be free to discover your true potential through any means, practice, or belief without censoring who you are.
Imagine a world in which our movies reflected the consciousness of wholeness and not fear. What if our popular culture’s media showed spiritual practices leading us out of our fears and into the most authentic version of ourselves? Instead of raising ghouls from the underworld, what if movies showed rituals that brought healing? What if there was a plot with an oracle reading that guides someone towards their most empowering experience? What if we see spiritual practices as taking us out of the darkest fears and into the Truth?
Those movies would be something worth seeing.
