How I Learned to Use My Intuition to Change My Life

From the ashes of pain, I found a path to happiness.

I felt I could learn to use intuition, just like I could learn any other skill. Since I learned how to play piano, although I had no natural talent for it, then I could also learn how to use my intuition. Everyone is born with intuitive gifts. It was a matter of understanding how my own worked.

I knew I had it. I knew I had precognition giving me nudges to do something that would make my life easier. So many times, I talked myself out of following it. I would get intuitive hits so randomly and so quietly that I would brush them aside as my imagination or just ignore them entirely.

For example, I would get a thought floating in that I should get some butter as I walked the aisle of the market, only to talk myself out of it. Only to get home and realize I needed more butter for a recipe. Other times I would get a feeling. Such as, when doing some mindless tasks, I would get a feeling that I should call a friend just to brush it aside. Yet, finding out later that they were thinking of me at that time.

How could I grow my intuition, trust it every time, and get even more intuitive hits to improve my life?

I was determined to figure it out.

During that time, my life had profoundly fallen apart in all areas. My job, my marriage, and my health were gone. I needed to rebuild my life from scratch. Until that point, I had been doing all the things “right”. I was doing what I thought would bring me happiness, but even before I lost it all, I knew I was not happy.

Doing the “right thing” was not right for me. Now I needed to do what I wanted. But what was that? I had lost my sense of self to the point of not even knowing what I wanted. So, I turned to my inner world. I needed to rebuild everything about my life, but this time it would be on my terms and from the inside out.

I was already spiritually curious, so that was a good place to start. All the books I had read on spirituality said everyone is intuitive, but none of those books explained how to use it. There was no guidebook on living on one’s intuition. I knew of no book that got into details on how to grow it, what it was really like, or even what it really is. That didn’t matter. I was determined with all the will I could muster to figure it out for myself.

I experimented.

My very first step was to make a deal with myself. I decided I would follow every intuitive ‘hit’ I got, no matter what. If I suddenly felt the need to buy milk at the store, I would do it. If I got the nudge to call someone out of the blue, I did it. If I had the urge to leave early for work, I did it. And so on.

The problem was that with every hit, nudge and urge came the doubts. Doubts are powerful things. Having doubts is human and important to discern and determine the truth of one’s experiences. Yet, through this experiment, I got to know how toxic they could be and how dominant they were in my consciousness.

With every nudge to pick up something unplanned from the store came a barrage of negativity as my inner dialogue. It went something like this:

“What do you need that for?” “There is plenty of that at home.” “Do you think you are psychic or something?” “This is just bullshit.”

This was so common in the weeks early on that it was like a bully was living in my head. My doubts were so very loud, far louder than the soft, quiet, and subtle energy of the intuitive nudges that it was almost tormenting to do this practice. But as I have previously mentioned, I was determined.

What I first found out was that I was only right about fifty percent of the time. It was not as accurate as I thought it should be. So, I studied the differences between what it felt like when it was right and when it was wrong. The energy of the correct hits, nudges, and urges were so quiet as to be missed at times. When it was my intuition, there were subtle whispers in the back of my mind or gentle feelings. The hits could also come as a fleeting image or a whisper of a word. They came when I had a quiet mind. They came when I was receptive and my mind was relaxed, like when I was driving, showering, wandering the aisle of the grocery store, doing dishes, and so on. Even reading or watching a show was a place where I could get a hit.

When my mind was active, anxious, or busy with drama, the ‘hits’ I got were from that chaotic place. Those hits were loud. They had an energy of urgency about them. “Do this now” kind of thing. Like an infomercial telling you to buy now or they will be out of stock! Call that friend and hurry! Leave now or else! The funny thing about those hits was that they never had doubts attached to them. They were powerful and demanding without a hint of thinking they might be ‘bullshit’. Very interesting. Another interesting thing about those hits is that they were always wrong.

Those urgent feelings and thoughts were never in doubt, but always wrong.

This gave me the beginnings of a deeper understanding of how to work with and grow my intuition. The loud and demanding voice was the voice of my wounded ego. Fearful of losing dominance, my ego was creating doubts with no merit and giving me false ‘intuitive’ hits. What came from the chaotic mind were guesses and assumptions based on my fears, worries, and anxieties.

The only way to address this was to face my fears. At first, this meant standing up to the bully. I fought back by arguing with the negative programming going on in my head. It was a losing battle. This bully just got meaner and louder the more I fought it. So, I gave in. I let the bully have its way. I let that inner dialogue of toxicity run rampant. When it said this is all bullshit, I was fool to try listening to my intuition, and I’m delusional that this is even real, I agreed it might be right.

Then a miracle occurred.

It was silent. The toxic bully had nothing to fight with. When I agreed it was probably right and I was a fool to listen to my intuition or even think I could be psychic at all, it had nothing left to say. Silence. My mind settled, and I could do as I wished without torment. Once I agreed with the toxic thoughts, I could get on with my experiment in peace. All it wanted was a bit of attention.

Even more than power or control, all the ego wants is attention.

Therefore, I learned to listen to my doubts, my toxic thoughts, and my old childhood wounds. After listening, I agreed they are valid, and I will consider them. Then I would mentally state, “Just for today I will listen to my intuition.”

With that statement, the doubts would be silent so I could pay attention to the messages that float up from the unconscious. Those subtle gifts came into conscious awareness easier, always sharing the truth, always right, and always through peace.

I learned that when it truly is an intuitive hit, nudge, or insight, it is always right. I also noticed it is always subtle, not attached to any urgency or demanding energy. It could come in many forms. It can be an image in the inner eye, a thought out of the blue, a feeling something is needed, or a word in the mind. However it comes, it is always gentle. When conjured from the wounded ego, it has an urgency or demanding energy that is like a guess and is just as accurate as guessing the lotto numbers. When it is from the ego and not the intuition, then it is always wrong.

This knowledge gave me the power to follow my intuition with confidence. Then my intuition became more active and accurate. I think of it as my navigation system, telling me which way to go, what is needed, and when to act. It is a predictor and a reminder. It also never has an urgent or fearful energy behind it.

After learning this and working with my intuition over time, I navigated my life differently and, in quiet ways, the fresh path I was forging became clear. I found my passion, awakened a deeper understanding of myself, and navigated my doubts with ease.

I started this way and built upon it. I am now a professional psychic with great accuracy. But it started just as I stated above. Once I listened to those soft nudges and gave my doubts the attention they craved, I learned how to access my intuition on purpose so that I could help others. Now I will teach you all I have learned. I know how to grow the gifts we are all born with. I started with just as much psychic power as you have.

Try my experiment. Make a deal with yourself. Just for today. Just for today, follow those subtle nudges and see what happens. When doubts show up, acknowledge, and agree with them, then listen to your nudges, anyway. See if it changes things. Then do it again tomorrow. Repeat and continue daily until it changes things.

Your doubts will always have plenty to tell you. Just listen, agree, and then watch how the quiet thoughts show up.

The Evolution of Human Consciousness and the Death of the Guru.

Every day, it seems either a spiritual teacher gets exposed as a fraudster or they find an inspirational motivator corrupt. You need not rely on dubious gurus with lifestyles that do not match their teachings to support and grow on your spiritual path.

You are your greatest spiritual teacher. Your own wisdom is more valuable than books, teachers, and gurus when you can trust your intuition and practice self-awareness practices. Yet, there are secrets to accessing this wisdom. It takes some tools to get to consistent radical self-trust and get to the guidance hidden in higher consciousness.

Like many people, you’ve likely learned to distrust yourself and ignore your instincts, intuition, and insights. Since childhood, they taught you to disregard your inner wisdom and doubt yourself. The first time someone said they weren’t sad when you could feel they were, they implanted doubt. Through these types of instances, you felt you were more often wrong than right. Your young self placed trust in the wisdom of your elders over your own insight. Adults who wish to hide their feelings must control an intuitive child, and this becomes a pattern into adulthood. Later in life, you could be subject to manipulators who often target sensitives and psychics, using doubt as a tool against them. The result of this is that the more psychic you are, the more doubt you may have.

I have found that lack of trust in self affects every part of our interactions with others.

We are susceptible to manipulation, deception, and fear-based actions if we do not trust ourselves. Not trusting ourselves makes it impossible to trust in a higher power, like divinity or the universe.

Undoing that kind of programming requires understanding your operating system. It takes time, patience, and specialized tools. Ancient spirituality had ways to seek the truth within and heal the wounds of doubt. There are also new tools for spiritual guidance coming from higher consciousness that we may feel called to use. Following the ways of the masters, sages, and avatars, new and old, will make trusting yourself much easier.

Trusting oneself is the keystone to a better life.

With self-trust, it is easy to address and heal insecurities and low self-esteem. Fear or doubt cannot manipulate you from centering your life on your own innate wisdom.

Trusting yourself is knowing when your doubts and fears have merit and when they are unconscious responses to old wounds. Knowing which they are allows you to be empowered in your decisions and actions. Doubts and fears can become stepping stones to self-awareness and inner wisdom. Instead of forces that drive you unconsciously, they become forces to heal you consciously. Ignoring, suppressing, or denying fear and doubt is not trust, but arrogance. Arrogance is the weapon of the ego that is damaging if not quelled.

Authentic trust in oneself is the foundation of a wise, insightful, inspired, and empowered journey through life.

Your Noble Birthright

Photo by Roman Kaiukud83cuddfaud83cudde6 on Pexels.com

There is a part of you that no one will ever see.

It is the spark of light.

It is the heart of Spirit.

It is the purest form of love.

It has seen all you have been through; your sorrows, troubles, joys, and worries.

It is ever present within you.

It has no need and no desire.

It does not want attention or love.

It does not want money or status.

It is the noblest part of you that is

beauty without glamor,

joy without celebration,

success without status,

wealth without opulence,

love without condition.

It is connected to Divinity.

It is at One with the Universe.

It is well grounded on the Earth.

Let us call it your Noble Heart and once you know it, you see the illusion of seeking the external trappings your Noble Heart innately holds.

The Noble Heart contains everything you desire.

Until one knows the nobility within, getting praise, status, success, love, and wealth will not fill the void or bring joy, and it will never be enough.

The courageous seek to know their heart. The first step in claiming the nobility within is to reject what others think of you and get to know what you think of yourself.

Discovering your Noble Heart can lead to questioning all that you thought you knew about you and your life.

Then you will be amazed.

Love isn’t marriage with children. Success isn’t the biggest paycheck. Self-value has nothing to do with being likable or popular. Beauty has nothing to do with appearance. Money has nothing to do with power.

Once you embrace these discoveries and continue your path of awareness, you see the power you once denied you had, and no one told you about.

Your power. You were born with it. Like a lord of noble lineage, you, too, have a birthright of power and abundance.

Knowing your power is knowing your Noble Heart. Once you know your Noble Heart, the illusion of all the things you used to want from the world becomes what you find within. The things you desired to feel successful, to feel validated, to feel important, no longer will have a hold on you.

You are free. And then, it is easy to be in the joyful flow of all you wish to have. You will find it is also easy to be kind, to be generous, to be of service, and to be true to yourself. Authentic nobility is humble, gracious, kind, and loving. There is no need for any external recognition or competition to be the best. The best version of you is simply waiting for you to get to know it, recognize it, and allow it to be a guiding force in your life.

I will do a short class series to help awaken and work with your Noble Heart. Join us for a series led by my teacher, White Eagle, featuring spiritual healing practices and journeys to awaken your noble heart.

We will start the four sessions on Tuesday, August 8. They will be 60 to 90 minutes on Google Meet at 5pm Pacific/8pm Eastern.

Dates: 8/8, 8/15, 8/22, 8/29

Is Being of Service Your Destiny?

How to live within the power of your truth

I remember having the belief that if I were truly spiritual, I would be in a convent or an ashram or some holy order. I thought I would be called by God to devote my life to their service and pray or meditate all day.

But, when I started getting serious about my spiritual path, I had a toddler, a job, a husband, and all that goes with living in the world. Sometimes in my sleep-deprived, overwrought, and exhausted mind, I thought it would be great to commune with Divinity day and night sequestered in the cell of a grand ancient hermitage. But it never happened. I was never called. Oh well, I went ahead with my spiritual path, even though it was not my calling.

Before I got a tarot deck, I had heard that you must be gifted your first tarot deck and should never buy your own. Well, my curiosity got the better of me and I couldn’t wait for that. I couldn’t wait for recognition from others and bought one. To my mind, I was not a true psychic because no mysterious person handed me a cloth covered and crystal-blessed tarot deck saying, “this is for you”. Oh well, I thought, I’m going to learn tarot, anyway.

I’ve heard of people being told they had some past lives as healers or priestesses, that this lifetime was to fulfill that purpose once again. Some were even quite famous! The past life readings I have had were very ordinary and boring. I am no one special and have nothing to share with the world as ordained by my soul’s gifts yet to be realized. Oh well.

I’m nothing special. I haven’t been called. My soul has no buried gifts to show me. No other psychic has ever even told me I’m psychic. Yet, I have worked and grown into a full-time psychic, healer and spiritual teacher, anyway. I had a good number of readings before I worked on my spiritual and psychic growth, yet no one ever predicted that. No one said, “you will be a spiritual teacher.” Not one. Even if I got a reading from a stranger now, after doing this work for over twenty years, they would not see it.

I wonder why that is.

Thank goodness when I wonder about something and puzzle over it, my guide will tell me, show me, and help me understand.

The important part of what he taught me about is this: I had to choose it. So, as was my natural course of evolution, I chose it and did not feel that something predetermined it for me. That was the only way I could live the truth of who I was. No one could tell me who I was. It was my discovery to make.

Even though my belief was that I had no business doing spiritual work on any level, my heart called me forward and my undaunted curiosity led the way.

Being ‘called’ to do spiritual service is a fallacy. It doesn’t really happen that way. The only thing that calls to us is our own hearts. Being called into spiritual service, being called to heal, or do ceremonies, being called to channel beings from other worlds, is a desire.

If it is the desire from your heart, it is your destiny.

If it is the desire of the ego to elevate your status, then it is your illusion and will not end well. Ego and Spirit do not mix. Ego driven spiritual people will crash their lives and burn out. They end up with some crisis or another. Some call it a crisis of faith as disillusionment creeps in. Some just keep going, digging into using their false spirituality to feed their ego as their lives fall apart. The psychic’s predictions or the feeling of being called is an illusion that feeds the ego into believing it has some grand purpose. It gives the believer the feeling that they are going to save the world.

People under the illusion that they are living out some profound spiritual destiny are only in it for the ego boost it gives them. Some feel if they don’t do a certain ceremony or send healing to the Earth, all will fall apart. They have an imperative urgency in doing as Spirit says, or disaster looms for humanity.

Poppycock.

The Earth heals herself. We can become in alignment with her healing power with ceremonies and support her with prayer, but she’s a very capable being. She made, supports and nurtures you. Even with the environmental crisis we currently face, if humanity left the Earth, she would heal just fine. So, our ‘helping’ her heal is just us trying to reverse our toxic ways so we can stay living here. Her healing power can heal everything. We need to ask her for our healing.

Spirit needs nothing from you, either. The Divine aspect of the heavens, whether you call them Creator, Goddess, Allah, Brahma, God, or the All That Is, made all the Universe and everything in it. What could they possibly need from you? What service could you supply Spirit that they could not supply for themselves? You need Spirit to help you live in this world and asking for help from them is all they desire from you.

Spirit and the Earth require nothing from you. You are here to live the life of your choice.

My guide would never tell me what to do for a living. I do this work because my heart desires to and because of that; it brings me joy.

On a similar note, Spirit will never tell me who to be with. It is my choice. If there is a deep soul connection, like a soulmate or twin flame, it is still up to me if I want to be with that person. There is no mandate about who I should live my life with. I do not have to marry anyone or stay single for any purpose other than my heart’s desire.

Living in this world is about choosing our own path and exploring it for as long as we wish. It is always good to ask for help and guidance from Spirit and healing from the Earth, but those things are not a requirement.

There is nothing special about me, or even special about you, except that all the Heavens and this bountiful Earth are at your service.

Ever Changing Beliefs

Photo by Chei ki on Pexels.com

Shifting your belief system can change your world, but if you don’t know why you believe something, then it’s difficult to shift.

There are two kinds of belief. One is what we are told to believe. These are things like social norms or religious ideals. The other is what we experience and see for ourselves, which are things like natural and even ordinary occurrences like the sunrise. We all believe the sun will rise every morning, but not all of us believe in Divinity.

Think about why you believe in Spirit (or not). Is it an experience or what you have been told to believe?

Once you understand why you believe what you believe, you can see if it is the truth or not the truth for you. You can choose to let it go or keep it. This work is especially important for those who believe they are less than others. Even if you know this is not true, you could be operating as though it is, unconsciously.

There are ways to release and reset your belief system to reprogram your unconscious from living an outdated program, into living the truth as you know it. Simply exploring and delving into why it is the way it is can help release the negative ways in which it is creating the life you don’t want or does not serve you anymore.

As you grow and change into the wisest version of yourself, so too must what you used to think was true grow and change to embrace that wisdom.

Seekers on the spiritual path wish to know Divinity on their own terms but with this awakening comes the need to be self-aware at a new level. It is imperative to allow for redefining what it means to be spiritual and what the truth is for you.

Release attachment to belief and ask your guidance to show you the amazing gifts it has to offer way beyond belief and into the heart of Truth.

Manifesting with Spirit Guides to Live the Life of Your Dreams

Get all you need before you even know that you need it.
Photo by NEOSiAM 2021 on Pexels.com

Prayers, candles, incense, and smudge. Following the moon cycles and aligning your essence to your intention or kneeling amongst parishioners on a holy day. A quiet ceremony under the moonlight or an altar set up amid clutter. Gathering in a forest meadow or an urban park. A desperate prayer after a night of indulgence or by the bedside of a loved one. A chant that echos through a cathedral or drum that harmonizes with the Earth’s rhythm. All ways of spirituality have an avenue connected to the heart of Divinity.

In prayer and ceremony, we are reminded that we are not alone. We do not have to shoulder every burden alone. There are blessings, gifts, and miracles to ease our burdens, soothe our minds, and settle our hearts. It is enough to ask through a holy ceremony or a prayer by a commode in a pub.

If it is a sincere request and you genuinely hand it over to Spirit, you will always get what you ask for.

There are some caveats, of course. Divinity adheres to Sacred Law, and they will not fulfill any request that is out of integrity with those laws. Nevertheless, understanding the power of Sacred Law is one way that will help you work with Spirit and grow easily on your spiritual path.

There is even more to getting help from Divinity than that. More ways to make your life easier before asking through prayer and ceremony. We need some things we did not even know we needed before the crisis occurred.

We can ask them to give us what we need before we need it.

How would your life be if you were provided for before the emergency or the holy day? What if Divinity came to escort you through life and helped you before the crisis? Gave you what you needed before you even knew you needed it?

One day I was teaching a class where we had a meditation led by my Spirit Guide. During the journey, we were all standing on a beach. I could see this vision very clearly. I could see my Guide on the beach with us. He told everyone that there was a treasure in the sand for us. I watched as they all looked around and picked up their treasure. Then I saw my Guide pick something up out of the sand. He walked over to me and held it out. He was holding in his hand a little Matchbox-sized SUV. Holding his palm out flat, he said, “This is for you, but you must accept it.” I shrugged and said, “Okay, I accept.” Then he handed it to me.

We finished the journey, and I didn’t think much of it, even though it was unusual for him to address me during a class for others. And it was strange to get this gift from him, but like with all my work with him, I have a wait-and-see attitude. So, I waited to see what it meant over time. I hadn’t been shopping for or trying to manifest a car. So, I gave it no more thought.

One week later, my ex-husband called me out of the blue and said he wanted to buy me a car. Then he sent me a photo from the dealership, and it was the exact car that my Guide, White Eagle, handed me in miniature during that vision on the beach.

Spirit had never given me something I hadn’t asked for before. That experience made me dig deeper into all the ways Spirit will help us manifest.

Their role is to help us have the life that we dream of or a life that is even ten times better than we could dream of having.

In other words, we can choose any path we like, live any way we want and hold any belief system. If we ask them, they can escort us along the way, anticipating and providing what we need before we even ask.

All we need is an acute awareness of our hidden beliefs and an understanding of the ways of Divinity. Then, being escorted by Spirit to make your life free of barriers and clearing the pathway to the life of your dreams is easy to do. It is also what Spirit’s dearest wish is. Spirit wishes for you to live a life of joy. Not a life of devotion or sacrifice, not a life of service or solitude. A life of joy.

Their wish is for you to live a life of joy, and their job is to help you do so.

Yet, since the first Sacred Law is the Law of Free Will, they cannot supersede your desires. If you have a hidden desire to do something out of spite, jealousy, or harm, they cannot overpower that and will not support it. You need to understand your intentions and dig deep into what they are, to know if what you asked for is out of alignment with Sacred Law. If your will is blocking your desire, Spirit cannot take the lead. Your will is the law of the land on Earth.

Spirit can only do what we allow them to do for us.

In other words, this may not work if the wounded ego is in the way. Because of all the unknown blocks in the subconscious, this straightforward request for an escort through life can become complicated.

So let’s get into it.

Although I cannot give all the practices and insights to help you do this in a single article, I can offer a class. It will include all I know about manifesting with Spirit, and we will get new information directly from my Guide.

Different Ways of Channeling Spirit

Getting messages from Spirit holds different power depending on the medium through which they speak.
Photo by Lisa Fotios on Pexels.com

Getting messages from Spirit holds different power depending on the medium through which they speak.

For a spur-of-the-moment question, I might ask them in my thoughts as I go about my day to help me with something. Like, “help me get there on time.” Then, I allow my attention to settle and wait to see if there is any response or advice that comes through to help. If not, I know to continue what I am doing, and they will assist me as I go. If they respond in casual mode, it will be more like a thought whisper, such as, “turn right before your usual turn.” This may be barely noticeable for most, but being disciplined in awareness helps to make this a clear answer.

When asking in meditation, it can be an answer that lights up all my senses. A visual image in full vivid color, with a strong feeling of energy, communication in the form of powerful knowledge, and my guide’s voice coming through with clarity. It isn’t hard to get into this state once you give it time and attention. Nurturing your senses to grow and settling down long enough to awaken your awareness is a matter of practice. Like learning to sing or swim, it is a natural ability that needs some honing.

Then there is live-channeling. This is when I am awake but allow my Guide the use of my being to connect and speak through me. It is not as bizarre as it sounds or as movies would make you think. It is a blissful feeling that blends my mind, my heart, and my voice with Spirit. The feeling of it can be intense at times, and Spirit can hesitate to find the right words to convey the energy of the messages. When I am live-channeling, I can feel my Guide’s responses. Sometimes, I can feel when he is searching my mental field for the word that holds the power of what he is wishing to convey. With that he can choose the sound that holds the precise energy of his meaning. Occasionally, I can see an image he shares to show me what he means in answer to the question. At times, I can even feel an overwhelming love for the person he is speaking to. When I am live-channeling, it can feel like I am him. As a bonus, after channeling this way, I feel a big shift or blessing in my energy field that heals me.

Photo by Min An on Pexels.com

Then there is writing. I am not talking about automatic-writing* here.

To channel and write messages is like taking dictation. Channeled writing is a powerful gift. Being able to see what messages and information can come through while recording it on paper can give any novice channeler the confidence to share the messages. It is written proof of divinity by virtue of it not being at all like their own writing. I recommend writing what comes through for all my students new to channeling. Write down what comes in. Wait a few days, then read what you have written. Then be amazed.

The other way of channeling Spirit is for more complex questions and deeper wisdom. Asking then waiting. This is how I get information on the Sacred Laws and the Laws of the Universe. For teaching that is very foreign to my life experience and more complex, I ask about it like a prayer in my mind. Then I wait and see what answers come over time. The answers may come upon waking up in the morning, in meditation, or just a sudden download of insight. Getting it in download form is like getting the entire concept of physics in an instant, and I must take time to incorporate it. Getting answers to the mysteries of the universe or deep esoteric topics may take days, weeks, or even years. After that, it will take time to understand what I have been given.

For example, I had been taught by my human teachers that Spirit prefers and almost always answers in the affirmative and not the negative. Spirit hesitates to say ‘no’ because it stops energy and is not life-affirming. But I had one teacher who taught the Law of Non-Interference. This is an especially important Spiritual Law that must be understood and followed by any spiritual practitioner who is serious. Yet, since Spirit does not communicate with negatives, and ‘non-interference’ is a term that holds the negative ‘non.’ I wondered what the non-negative term for this law is.

This was just the beginning for me getting immense information on the Sacred Laws, which have come to me over time. What I got was that non-interference is under the Sacred Law of Will, which we may be more familiar with as the Law of Free Will. This is the first law that I am shown and is the most important and impactful for those of us working with Spirit to keep our karma clear of harm and to keep us from unintentionally harming others.

Asking this question led me to profoundly essential information I have seen nowhere else. But being patient with when and how the answer came to me was as important as asking the question. And over time, this practice has given me life-changing insights and access to ancient wisdom.

Channeling takes many forms. I believe and have seen the impact it has on lives through all these forms. I also believe we all channel from time to time without even knowing it.

I love to offer more of what my Spirit Guide, White Eagle, will share. *Automatic writing is for those who are what I call physical mediums and have the gift of Spirit moving objects through them. Automatic writing is not a practice in awareness. It does not use the psychic senses of feeling, hearing, seeing, or thought. It is unique and requires the medium to allow Spirit to use their energy to move objects. This is not my gift. For those who are not naturally physical mediums, they can do this, but it takes a great deal of patience, and they will find there are easier, more efficient ways to get messages from Spirit.

Listen to Your Soul Speak

Intuition whispers to you from the soul and offers guiding wisdom to create a life of ease and joy.

Let’s dig deep. The deeper we dig, the more treasures we find. So let us look for what’s hidden. All of the wisdom of the ages lies within the depths of consciousness obscured by the mind of the ego.

There is wisdom dormant in the soul. Access the soul by going deep into the unconscious. It hides not to keep you from knowing it. On the contrary, it wishes to be revealed, expressed, and active in your life. It hides buried like an old pair of shoes in the back of a cluttered closet. The more cluttered the mind, the more we must dig.

The soul will only express itself with conscious practice, coaxing, and patient attention. Give it these, and you will have access to the wisdom of the ages, insights into the future, and inspiration in the present moment.

The soul is the record keeper of time, knows all you have been through, and can guide you to your well-being. It is the part of your spirit that incarnates physically in your body and holds the knowledge of your every experience from lifetime to lifetime. It can also keep you from harm and help you enjoy a life of ease and joy. It can help you to heal karmic cycles and release you from old contracts. It is ageless, timeless, and can access all of the universe’s wisdom.

It is the most potent aspect of self, yet it sits behind all the clutter of nonsense going through the mind.

Let us coax it from the depths of the unconscious to the light of the conscious.

When we do this, it manifests as intuition. Our intuition is our inner guide. Every human on Earth has intuition. It is our innate gift given at birth. It may seem that it has never revealed itself to you because you may not recognize it when it does. Many people respond to intuitive experiences by saying it was a guess, a coincidence, or a fluke. But from experience and teaching people at all levels of ability, it can become the guiding force in your life with a bit of time and attention.

The first step is to recognize when it happens. There are different ways our soul communicates with us; all are considered intuitive abilities.

*It may come as a thought in your mind. Thinking about something out of the blue that appears with no train of thought or preceding trigger.

*You may get images in your mind, like pictures or scenes that show you what is coming.

*It could be a voice or word you hear with your mind’s ear.

*Or it could be a feeling like a gentle inkling that nudges you.

Note that all of these experiences are internal. The intuitive senses rarely manifest in the physical world. Although some psychics boast about seeing actual physical visions, this is so rare that I have only met one psychic to have this experience of the hundreds I have taught.

Think of the third eye, the portal to the unseen world, as the inner vision. This is why it can be confused with the imagination and dismissed. It is your inner world. But a lot is going on there, so you must learn to discern intuition and egoic chatter.

Pay attention. How often have you come home from the grocery store to find that you didn’t have that thing you had the idea to get? For example, you may have gotten the hit to buy milk but dismissed it, thinking you already had some. Only to get home and find it was expired. Or think of calling someone, and they call you moments later. Happenings like this are opportunities to evaluate how intuition works for you. How did it come to you to get that thing or call that person?

Intuition is not loud. Intuitive hits are so quiet we can miss them. They are like a wisp of air in the thunderstorm of thought going through your mind at any given time. It does take awareness to spot them, but the more you pay attention, the easier they are to find, and like seeing the hidden shapes in pictures, once you see one, you can see them all.

Let’s get started. Take a few days to note how it presents itself when it happens. When you get stuck in traffic and realize you should’ve followed that nudge that said to go a different route. Notice when you are watching a show, and suddenly a thought of someone comes to mind without any reason. When you wash dishes, and you get the answer to a problem you have been having. These are the gentle nudges of your soul speaking to you. Take a moment to reflect on how it manifested. Was it a vision, feeling, thought, or voice?

It’s okay if you get a hit and don’t follow through. It is more important to notice that you got the hit and reflect on how it came.

At this stage of development, you must learn how your soul communicates.

Once you are sure how it works and recognize when it comes through as a mental image, a feeling, a thought, or a sound/word, you can see how often it is coming and what you are doing when you get the hit.

Taking time to know your intuition, which may even take weeks, will help prepare you to develop trust in it.

The next step is to grow in confidence. To do this, make a vow to follow it. Pick a day when things are not too hectic. Make a vow such as, “today; I will follow my intuition, no matter what.”

Then follow through. Whatever little nudge, feeling, or so on comes up, whether it is to buy something extra at the store, call a friend or check your email, do it. When you follow through with what you get intuitively, you tell your soul that you are listening to it and allowing it to guide you. This is a giant step in opening the way to getting more.

Once you do this, your ego will have much to say about it. Do not be distressed if you have a negative voice telling you how ridiculous it is, it is all nonsense, or you are foolish even to try. This is only your ego. The ego doesn’t like you following your intuition or listening to your soul. The ego wants to be the only one to whom you listen. But sometimes, the way to win an argument is to agree. The best way to deal with the naysayers in your head is to answer, “you may be right, but just for today, I am going to listen to my intuition.” You will be amazed at how silent it becomes. Without an adversary, the ego has no reason to argue. It’s the best way I know of to silence the negative dialogue. As you grow on your spiritual path, you will learn ways to heal the wounds the voice is expressing. It comes from a wounded place and can heal, but until then, allow it to be and don’t try to fight it. Yet, please don’t give it any power by giving in to it, either.

All of this should get you on the way to building your natural gifts. The next step is to call up your intuition on command and gain insight into the future, relationships, career, and more. The magic of your soul is just beginning to awaken.

Spirit’s Wishing Well

When Spirit makes a wish, it is whispered into your heart. Then the heart ignites with joy which lights up your path ahead.

Once upon a time, you made a wish for a change. Like Snow White at the wishing well, it seemed so easy. She wishes for the one she loves, and he appears. Your wish has a feel and vision to it. You know it is possible as if it manifested instantaneously before you. It feels that it can happen in your life easily.

There are different kinds of wishes. There are wishes we make for material or mundane things, and there are the desires of the heart. Snow White’s wish represents a desire of the heart. A longing that comes from her Spirit to create a different life. Spirit guides us by giving us the desires of the heart. So, when our heart lights up with the thought of something new in our lives, know that it is your Spirit, higher consciousness, lighting the way.

The ego uses the mental field to guide us. Spirit guides the heart, but the ego rules the mind. Nothing is wrong with fulfilling the ego’s desires unless they come from the wounded ego. In this case, the ego blocks our heart’s desire through fear or keeps us from attempting to fulfill it through self-doubt. It can feel like everything is in our way when the wounded ego does not support what our heart wants.

In Snow White, the Evil Queen represents the wounded ego vying for control when the heart expresses its desire. First, she watches from the window in silence as the prince appears. Then she plots. The story of Snow White in the Disney version is an apt representation of what we go through when we begin to follow the desires of the Spirit but have not healed the wounded ego.

Snow White is very wounded. She is the rightful princess of the realm but is in rags and does not claim her power. Snow is the heir to the throne but behaves like a peasant. She seemingly does not understand who she is or what she can be. The Evil Queen, as her wounded ego, has given her the belief that she is no more than a peasant, and that is all she ever will be.

Yet, her heart has a desire.

There are many ways to heal the wounded psyche. This story represents the evolution of consciousness and how we can overcome our wounds in a spiritual way. This story is the path to healing as we walk hand in hand, guided by Spirit.

All she has is a wish. And that is enough to change everything.

We are complex beings with many aspects of our consciousness. Those aspects respond when we make a life change not supported by past patterning. The huntsman represents our survival instinct and intuition. The wounded ego’s solution is to cut out Snow White’s heart, the portal to her higher consciousness, but intuition saves her and warns her.

By listening to her intuition, she is awakening. By trusting her intuition, a new aspect of herself becomes available. Her third eye, or her psychic senses, begins to open. Our psychic senses connect to the unseen world’s energies and force us to confront our hidden fears and phobias.

That is why she must go through the haunted forest. To fulfill her wish, she must face her fears. The terror and the fright of experiencing her hidden fears are overwhelming. When eventually surrendering to it, she faints in exhaustion. But, as witnesses, we see it was all an illusion. The sinister eyes of the forest were harmless, gentle animals, and the grasping phantoms were just trees. The high drama was nothing more than foliage and critters.

Many a spiritual awakening will stop in the haunted forest and never get out of that stage. Some never confront nor face their fears. Some have an awakening yet stay in the haunted forest, unknowing the illusion of it. They have paranoid theories and fear the world they see. They have yet to escape, so they cannot witness the power of the helpers standing by, let alone understand their own power.

Living in fear of what is an illusion is like living in the haunted forest. High drama, demons at every turn, and no one to help escape. It is a painful and destructive way to live.

The animal helpers appear to her after she has gone through the forest. She sees them for what they are and gets help from them. They lead her to the dwarves’ home to represent the succor Spirit can provide once we face our fears and phobias. We must allow and trust Spirit to help and guide us on our spiritual journey to fulfill the heart’s wishes. Following our hearts is impossible without help from the unseen realm.

Whether we ask for help from the universe, the Earth, or the dwellers of the heavenly realms does not make a difference. But our heart’s desire is a call to action to walk the spiritual path and fails without assistance from a force greater than ours.

Help from a higher power is only accessed by those who request and trust it. The higher power threatens the wounded ego because it cannot control it. The wounded ego will doubt and make you feel a fool for even thinking there is a higher power. Therefore, getting to the stage where you trust the higher power to lead you to safety is a big task for most.

The animal helpers lead her to the cottage where her inner child dwells, represented by seven dwarves. They are different aspects of the inner child and her life stages as she grows into adulthood. Once she cares for her inner child, she finds joy and affection. Her unconscious aspect has been given attention and love for the first time. The experience of that healing leads to a feeling of celebration. The inner child holds unconscious wisdom, accessed by giving it attention. The inner child is aware of dangers she is unaware of, and they warn her about the Evil Queen finding her.

The Evil Queen does find her and attempts to kill her. Finally, all the plots of the Evil Queen come to a head, and Snow White goes into a deep sleep. This phase is the most crucial part of fulfilling your wish. Death is but a rebirth. When they are on the precipice of fulfilling their wish, many people will feel like they are dying. I know some even make their wills and funeral arrangements because the feeling of imminent death is so strong. Some experience death dreams or feelings of doom. The more resistance we have, the more painful this stage can be. It can even bring about physical illness.

When this stage is particularly lengthy and dramatic, it is called the dark night of the soul. Wherein all the things that our wounded ego holds dear must be eliminated. As a result, some lose their jobs, homes, or spouses. The dark night of the soul only happens when we desire to shift our entire lives from ego-driven to Spirit-led. And this rarely happens when we follow a single desire of our Spirit.

The wounded ego will make you believe going for your dream is a death sentence. But this is an illusion. We must face it as we must face all fears and illusions. Once Snow White lies unconscious, her inner child attacks the Evil Queen sending her to death. But, of course, we cannot kill the ego. It is only the death of the wounded ego. Many traditions or spiritual beliefs speak of killing the ego. Yet, the ego is necessary as long as we live on Earth. The healthy ego is never harmed.

The healthy ego creates our identity and separates us as unique individuals. Without it, we would see the wholeness of all things as our souls and Spirit see it. When we are in our higher consciousness, all things are One and cannot be separated. Since we have a human experience, the feelings of oneness must be tempered to explore the self as singular. It is an extraordinary experience to get to know the self as it is in this world. The journey into the self is an exploration only experienced through living and is an infinite well of wisdom.

To know if your healthy ego is active and not your wounded ego, consider how you view the world and get to know your beliefs. To the wounded, everything is either above the self or below it. It uses judgment and fear to make choices. The wounded ego loves what gives status or tears down. It doesn’t care if it is operating from arrogance or low self-esteem so long as it stays separate from others. For example, if you view others’ status as important or you as more important than others. If you think it is beneath you to drive an old type of car or think you are not worthy of driving a fancy car, those thoughts are from the wounded ego. Keeping you involved in comparisons keeps you from connecting to the higher mind.

A healthy ego has likes and dislikes for different reasons. The healthy ego sees others not from the view of status but as differences. The healthy ego celebrates and exalts others for differences, but not because they think they are superior. When making choices, the healthy ego does not consider what people will think of them. Instead, it will only make the choices that bring personal happiness. The healthy ego sees no other being inferior or less worthy of living. A healthy ego has no condemnation for others but instead has compassion. Persons with a healthy ego can revere and respect others for their accomplishments without diminishing their self-worth.

As we do the work on our spiritual path, our egos become healthier and more balanced. We need not heal all our wounds to fulfill the wishes of our hearts and the desires of our Spirit. We need only address the wounds that hold us back. You may wonder what those are, but your negative inner voice, judgment, or beliefs will show you. It will not be a mystery what is holding you back.

It is important to note that the inner child is the one to ‘kill’ the wounded ego. The inner child is aware of toxicity and will warn, avoid, or eliminate anything harmful from our lives. When we are in touch with and care for our inner child, we are not likely to be in abusive relationships, toxic workplaces, or have a lot of drama. Our inner child wants joy and only seeks to be heard, seen, and experience love from our conscious self to have it. Making a bit of time to connect with them is powerful healing.

The mourning of Snow White and the respect the dwarves show her keep her safe and above ground. She gets that respect for the care she gave them. Their honoring helps the prince to find her and fulfill her wish. Note that the wish is fulfilled not by her seeking the prince but by working on her inner self. When we follow the desire of Spirit or our heart’s desire, the call to action is more about clearing the wounded consciousness out of the way than making any life changes.

The prince represents the divine masculine. The union of the masculine and feminine within is a powerful experience on the path of healing the wounded ego. Although she states her wish is to find the one she loves, she truly longs for her unity within. She can then claim her kingdom and birthright and know her power. Only then can her destiny be fulfilled and the truth of herself expressed.

Every time our heart lights up with joy at something new, it is our Spirit, our higher consciousness, saying, “Yes, I want this!”. If our conscious self agrees and finds joy in the prospect of it, then we begin this journey. It may be a significant life-changing journey, or it may be lesser in significance, but know it is your Spirit guiding the way.

We can go through Snow White’s journey many times at various stages of our lives. Think of these events as an opportunity to heal the next level of being and a vital step to fulling the dearest wish of Spirit.

Knowing how our conscious self responds to the Spirit’s wishes helps us navigate all the difficulties that our true path can bring.

For this, we need the following:

  • The wisdom of recognizing what our Spirit desires.
  • To follow intuition and insight navigating the haunted forest.
  • How to get help from and trust unseen forces.
  • To know how to care for the inner child.
  • To have the tools for healing the wounded ego.
  • To understand how to unite masculine and feminine.

Knowing how to navigate and clear the wounds of the ego so that it no longer holds power over your life takes dedication, self-awareness, and proper practices.

If you want to get to know these things, I am teaching all this in a 9-week course starting January 9th!

The Path of Joy will give you all you need to know to live your purpose, build your intuitive gifts, care for your inner child, and more.
