What Should I Do?

Confused? Don’t know what to do? Can’t get a clear answer from your Tarot cards?

When working with Tarot, if you are ever unclear on an answer check your question. Is your question clear; is it asking what you really want to know?

Let’s say you want to know about a trip and if you ‘should’ go. You are not sure because there are people going that you think might be unpleasant to be with. So you phrase it in the typical way: “what do I need to know about going on this trip?” But the cards you pull on that question come out confusing. They don’t really tell you about how it will work out with the people, you just get mixed messages with the cards. So then you check in and ask yourself what answer do I really want to know from the cards? When you check in with yourself you think… “I want to know if I will get along with every one or if they will spoil my fun.” Then you get to the heart of the question. So you ask again in a different way. “What do I need to know about my relationships with these people during this trip?” Then you pull the cards and the answer is clearer. It’s much easier to see how it will go when you ask the question more to the point. Clear question = clear answer. Now you can add more questions to get an even clearer picture of the trip. If you are worried about finances on the trip you can ask that, if you are worried about safety you can ask that. You see how you can do many readings on the same trip hitting all the points of concern.

Let’s say the answer is not good. When you ask about the relationships on the trip you get conflict and irritation. You then wonder if you “should” go. What is should? Should is a very vague term and does not reflect true intention or desire. Think about it: Should. Should I go to the doctor? Should I call my friend? Should I go to the store at noon? Well it all depends on your desired outcome. Think of what you want out of a situation to determine what ‘should’ means.

As an example ‘should I go to the doctor?’: The heart of the matter is that I think I may need antibiotics to clear my sinus infection, but don’t know if it will clear up soon on it’s own or if it will only get worse. For the clear answer to this you can ask two questions: “What do I need to know about going to the doctor to clear my sinus infection?” and “what do I need to know about my sinus infection clearing up without going to the doctor?” Pulling the cards on both scenarios will help me make an informed decision and not using the word ‘should’ will also help.

For people on the spiritual path; should really means highest good. Instead of thinking ‘should’ you go; think in terms of – is it in my highest good to go. But we can’t ask the cards yes or no questions so we have to explore a little more to find out if it is in your highest good to go, even if it will be a time of conflict and irritation. But oh no! You don’t want conflict and irritation either. You don’t want to be a martyr to your highest good. There are a number of approaches to get the answers so that you can do what is in the highest good and have a great time.

Here is a way to use tarot to get the answer you want and create the fun you want:

To find out if you “should” go start with asking about the outcome to help you make my decision. Instead of asking if you should go on the trip, the question you would ask is: “How does this trip serve my highest good?” If the answer is beneficial, then you know to go, if the answer is detrimental then you know to stay. If the answer is beneficial but you know these people will make you irritable all the time (and you don’t want to have a bad time) you can ask the cards for help to have fun while serving your highest good.

To find out how to have fun on a the trip: “How can I have a fun time with these people on this trip?” You don’t want to ask in the negative like, “How can I not be irritated by these people?” or “how can I stay away from these people”, etc. Always focus on what you do want (and not what you don’t want) when asking advice from Tarot. When you pull the card on how to have a fun time with the people on the trip you get something that means ‘go with the flow’ to you. This is telling you to not try to control the events and timing of the trip. In order to have a good time, it is best to do what comes when it comes and not try to make it all conform to your preferences. You can then decide to accept the advice and you may follow it or not. By following the advice you may find that you really have a great time on the trip and it was a wonderful experience.

FYI- you can always decide not to follow the advice of Tarot. It is entirely up to you. There is no energetic fallout from not following the advice from Tarot or your Guides. Spirit respects all of your decisions and actions as your own. If you decide going with the flow on the trip is not for you, and you want to do your own thing, that is OK with Spirit, but you may just find out that you didn’t have such a great time as if you were to follow the advice you asked for.

The best way to learn Tarot is to use Tarot by exploring different ways of asking questions and asking for advice. Tarot is not just for predictions but a living spiritual exchange to dialogue, learn and grow with! The more you explore and experiment, the more you expand your understanding and awaken your awareness and the more tarot speaks in its unique way with you.

Battle Scars of the Spiritual Warrior

Oh silly me! Long ago in a place not far away I made a deal with Spirit and myself. The pact was simple: I wanted to learn and grow in my psychic and spiritual self to serve my highest good. Oh brother!

That set the tone for what I am doing and what I continue to do – no matter what happens.

What I didn’t know then was that my greatest obstacle would be myself. My ego-self to be exact. For those of you new to this ego perpetuates fear, self absorption, and demands attention. Ego is attached to the material, the outer appearances, and loves to be ahead of the game. Ego loves to prove it’s right, that it holds something no one else has, and is a show-off. It is also abusive – it puts us down to keep us in fear of growing. It lets us know that we cannot survive with out that job, that car, that partner, that education etc. It tells us we are not good enough, not evolved enough and not worthy of what we want. Ego wants us to believe we are separate from Spirit and will fight to keep it’s control over us. Our soul longs to be at one with God, our ego disavows that is possible. Ego can also make those on the Spiritual path believe they are ascended, awakened, and evolved without doing any of the heavy labor needed to balance the ego’s hold on us. Ego is the ultimate trickster.

The good news is that Spirit is trickier, and that also is the bad news.

Spirit is unity, love, harmony, creation, truth, acceptance and magic – to name a few. But to be in the energy of Spirit one cannot be ruled by ego. Once I set the intention to grow in spiritual awareness to serve my highest good – anything I did or thought, that was not of Spirit created chaos in my life, until I surrendered the ego and released fear, illusion, judgment and separation. The powerful fear of the ego cannot have hold of us if we are to truly be in harmony with the All That Is. Ego must exist in this realm to help us have an identity, and personality, but the attachment to our identity and personality must lose it’s grip in order to harmonize with the power of Spirit.

When I set the intention above I was unknowingly agreeing to release all attachment to what defined me; the ego attachments of who I thought I was and should be. In order to do that I went through what some call the dark night of the soul. Over the period of 5 years, I lost – my health, my marriage, my car, my job, my money, and my home. I was attached to all of it, so it all had to go. Every Spiritual teacher I have faith and trust in has been through even tougher times than I have.

I naively started down this path focusing on only the love, the miracles and the joy of connecting to Spirit, unaware of what I had to give up in order to do it. Now I look back and laugh at myself for being so silly.

Being a spiritual practioner to serve the highest good is not for the faint of heart. It is not for you if you do not have the courage to release what has hold of you, if you are not honestly and courageously facing your fears and walking through them. There will be battle scars, there will be confrontation of death, there will be pain. For some the act of surrender is easy, for others it is a battle to the brink of existence. If you are successful you will wake up in the morning to find miracles surround you and flow through you.

Now I have more than I ever gave up. Now I have a life of miracles and wonder. What I have now is worth more than all the cars, homes, fitness, husbands and money there is. I am given vision of my true self and now know who I truly am. Every step I take is a walk into the abyss of the unknown. Everyday for me now is an act of Faith. Spirit reminds me daily: without Faith there can be no miracles, and when you act on Faith you will have miracles. I am grateful I was so naive to ask to walk this path. This life has not been easy, yet it is joy-filled, miraculous, and awe-some.

We gather our courage, muster our strength, build our fortitude and surrender to Spirit and Faith shall create the bridge over the abyss one brick at a time.

CONFIRMATION! And Signs from Spirit

How do you know if you are really getting messages from your Guide and you aren’t just making it all up?

Here’s a way: Ask for a sign that you are indeed connecting with your Guide. When you are sitting quietly with him/her in meditation, ask him/her to give you physical proof that he/she is helping you. While you are in meditation you may get an answer like “yes” or you may get an image of something that you will see that will be your sign. One student I know saw a sunflower in her mediation when she asked for a sign. This was strange because it was the middle of winter and even in San Diego there are no sunflowers at that time of year. The next day she was staying in a rented condo and the bathroom was decorated in sunflowers. Now each time she sees that image (a picture on the net, the TV or some one mentions the word sunflower) she is given a wink of reassurance from her guide. So if you get an image go with it- don’t discount it or over analyze it- like thinking what’s that mean? or how’s that gonna happen? Just pay attention and stay open to how it will manifest. It may take up to 3 days to get the manifestation of your sign.

If you ask for a sign and your Guide says “yes” or doesn’t answer and you don’t get an image or a nudge as to what it will be. That means that it will come but they are not telling you how. You may wake up with a song in your head – a certain phrase being repeated over and over, then you turn on the radio and there it is. You may over-hear the phrase in a conversation at the grocery store. The real trick is to pay attention so you are aware of it and can allow it to happen. It’s easy to discount signs as coincidences or chance. Faith and Trust are the most important energies you can bring to the table when you are working with Spirit. If you are not in the energy of faith when working with Spirit you don’t get the miracles that are awaiting you, and you will miss the wonderful gifts and opportunities that they can create for you.

The most difficult part of working with Spirit is understanding how it works and getting into the flow of it. Spirit works through nudges, urges to do something, and inspiration. Our guides are quiet, gentle and unconditional. They don’t want to interfere in our lives unless we ask. When we do ask and have pure gratitude for any small gift that comes our way, we get more, and the trust we start to have in them and gratitude we give is what grows the connection. Your guide may take some time to actually talk to you, because you must truly believe in him/her first (and your ability to connect) before you are going to get more.

Once you feel confident and get your sign ~ and start to trust the process ~ you can get more information, but start small. Ask for something like “what can I expect to happen _______”(tomorrow at my meeting …or… when I have lunch with so and so … or … fill in blank). Make the question about something to take place soon. Your answer may come as a feeling, a knowing or an image. Then just wait and see how it manifests in reference to your question. Once it does manifest then you have your verifiable proof that something you didn’t know came through from your Guide! keep working with this in small ways until you feel confident that you are getting the messages correct. After you are in trust and confidence you can start to dialogue freely with your guide and ask questions that will help you along your life path. But know that your Guide will never demand you do ANYTHING. They are there for guidance and don’t push an agenda. All messages are suggestions and possibilities your choices are entirely up to you. Guides are also entirely without judgment. They have no interest in punishing you or making life difficult for you.

If they are not talking or you feel they are leading you down the wrong path, it may be so you can fully embrace your own power and need to make your own decisions. If you get a message from your guide that is not what your inner knowing is telling you – like to take a vacation in the mountains but you feel that it is not what would be good for you – go with what will feel good for you. That is a lesson in empowerment. Let’s say you go to the mountains, even though you know it’s not the right thing for you, but you want to follow their guidance above your own knowing. You go and have a horrible time then you get angry with your guides for giving you the wrong information, you think they are punishing you or are mad at you. This is a projection. All they are helping you with is trusting yourself. You think to yourself, “I knew it was not right to go to the mountains!” Then you also beat yourself up for not listening to yourself. Instead I offer that you can congratulate yourself for being right and now can make decisions from a fully empowered place. Your guides will now help you with more things because you will be able to use your discernment on what is right for you.

To ensure that you are getting the info only from your Guide who is there as your teacher for your highest good and to help you on your path to your highest potential is very, very simple. Intention is EVERYTHING when working with Spirit. So ask that only the guide who is there to support you on your path be the one to speak with you, help you, inspire you, nudge you and keep every other Spirit away. Then know that it is so.

All you got to do is ask. Really.

Why Charge?

I got this question in an e-mail today and thought it would be helpful for all to see my answer.

Im very interested in your boast of being able to awaken everybody and that its there birthright. but i cant help but wonder why you would charge people for that? There must be so many people out there longing to do something like this, but just simply cant afford the rates.

I appreciate your question and have debated charging over and over. It is a dilemma. This gift was freely given to me by spirit and I am very grateful. But it was not given without my also spending years of work, time and energy. I have given this gift with no charge, yet I find that those who are given it for free also don’t put the energy behind it to utilize it as it could be. They don’t value what they don’t pay for. Which is a disappointment.

Reiki masters are frequently given the story of how Reiki came to be (if you are unfamiliar Reiki is a healing energy that was discovered in the 1800s). The monk who meditated for 40 days to discover this gift was so enthusiastic about it he went to a nearby village and gave it to all who were in need especially the beggars who couldn’t work because of their ailments. He traveled for many months and came back to the village to find the beggars still begging even though they were healed. This gave him pause and he realized that only those who put energy into receiving this gift would use it and appreciate it. In our world that translates to money. He started charging huge fees for Reiki and Reiki attunements ($10,000). This did exclude a great deal of the population but also only those who saw it as valuable as he did were to receive it.

I value this gift as a miracle. It is worth way, way more than I charge. It changes lives in miraculous ways. What price can you put on that? None is high enough in my opinion. Yet I had to come up with a fee after all. Therefore I decided to charge for my time. An attorney I know told me all he sells is time. He has no product except his expertise. Therefore I used that as my guideline. I charge for my time, the time it takes to do the session. I do not charge for the support e-mails and calls after the session – as an attorney would, lol. That is all part of it.

I hope this answers your question. Spiritual practitioners cannot do their work if they must devote time to day jobs. If I didn’t at least charge for my time I could not do it at all, and the gift would not be given. Those who put their energy into this gift also support me so I may continue to give it.

Road-Map to the Heart of God

In small dusty villages, on quiet seashores, and in darkened secret temples mystical writings were shared that brought awakening to the few brave enough to read. These writings opened a pathway to God not spoken of by the religious leaders. Radical and profound, those who had lost their connection to the divine found the writings to be a portal to his love and to remember their own birthright of divinity.

In a world of judgment, suffering, condemnation, and oppression the worn pages passed around through many hands were the light of God reaching into their hearts speaking the language of love. Forgiveness overcame sin, law became love, separateness became unity.

What has happened to these ancient mystical writings? How can we find them to see how they may heal our hearts? Are we ready to read the truth of them? Are we ready to hear with our hearts and leave the intellectual arguments behind? Are we truly ready to find the truth they awaken within ourselves and not be told the truth from an institution? Can we be so radical as to not follow the old rules and concepts of God but instead find the God within? Are we ready to enter the portal of love, unity and forgiveness?

Indigenous prophecy keepers, new age mystics, and even some religious leaders recognize this time we are living in as a time of radical change for humanity. We are standing in the doorway of our own evolution, and we are, each of us individually, making the choice to go through or not. The single step through the doorway of evolution is the bravest step we can take. It is not for the faint of heart; only the most courageous can walk through. To make this step we must no longer be ruled by – or fear – the judgment, condemnation or the reactions of others. We must know the truth of our hearts and follow it even if our friends and family say it’s a bad idea. We must see unity consciousness and no longer be seduced by the illusion of separation. We must see ourselves through the divine vision of infinite potential and no longer as powerless beings. We must be made whole. This is a tall order even for the most awakened of beings.

Yet, it has been done before.

As we stand in the portal of evolution and start to dump all our old baggage of what our parents did to us, our schools programmed into us and our religious institutions took from us we feel lighter and more ready to go through. We feel that our old concepts of ourselves have been released and we are ready to accept the truth of our divine birthright. But there is still a slight hesitation, still something yet to be made whole. It is the past. Our individual past and humanity’s past. How can we be made whole if we cannot only make peace with our past but embrace and celebrate it. Where we have been is part of who we are. It is imprinted in our DNA, our consciousness, and our souls. Our familial dysfunction also holds ancestral wisdom. Our government’s corruption also holds our vision of unity. Our religious dogma also holds divine truth. To see divinity’s expression in even the lowest point in our history brings it into the light, makes us whole, and we can collectively walk through the portal to our evolution and our divinity.

My personal journey to the portal of divinity has brought me to that place of making peace with the past – my ancestry, my concept of religion, and our history of war. I have begun to look deeper to see the thread of divine love running throughout our past of suffering. Following this thread has awakened me to a new perception of our reality and has become a great gift to open again and again rediscovering the beauty of who we really are.

I am given the vision of the ancient writing being shared by scattered communities in ancient times, which becomes like a thread of divinity connecting the separated to the heart of God and each other. They are no different from us, searching for truth in a world of illusion. They pass among them a contraband document. They are the most courageous seekers, the ones connected to the mystical traditions, not dogmatic regimen. They pass it on and keep it sacred for the many generations to follow to find their own truth in it. Not for it to be corrupted by religious authority. I offer to you to look to the ancient wisdom with new eyes, outside of religious authority. Be radical and find that you’ve been holding what you’ve been seeking all along.

For me reading the Gospel of John and the Book of Revelation without the interpretation of religious authority has been an awakening experience. It has been a long journey to be able to release the dogmatic thought that surrounds their wisdom and truly see them with fresh eyes. To see them as though they had been handed to me in a secret temple, to see them as the radical road-map to the heart of God that they are – what a challenge for me. What an incredible gift I have found.

I offer to you to seek out the ancient writings of the past that call your heart, release the negative energy around them and see the divinity that runs through them. Begin the journey of making peace with the past thus activating our evolution and stepping through the portal to the divine and creating the World of Peace.

Why Did I Manifest This?

The conflict of the mind plays out in outer reality. Some wonder “Why did I manifest this?” Whatever is present within is also created in physical form. If in your life your parent told you that you were no good, unless that is resolved and released from within your psyche, and you have silenced that inner chatter, it will play out in your life repeatedly. If you are finding yourself being challenged to defend and argue your worth with others, then it is not yet resolved. Take each opportunity that challenges your worth as an example of what has yet to be addressed for your growth.

Each experience of pain, conflict and dysfunction is an opportunity to further your spiritual growth. Acknowledge your part in the writing of the script that is going on in the play of your life then find the truth in your heart. If the truth in your heart is that you have value as a being of the Divine then allow that truth to become the inner chatter. You can direct your mental energy by meditation, prayer, ceremony or affirmation. These practices re-program your psyche to disengage the patterns of the past and re-format to download a new program of Divine Being. As you do this you will see there will be fewer people in your life who see you as worthless and more who see you as the Divine beauty you are.

The Universe in all its dimensions is a mirror of the Divine. All that is created spiritually, emotionally, physically, mentally is a reflection of the Divine. All that goes on around you in your life is an opportunity to see yourself. That is all life is. Your life is an experience created by you for you to see yourself.

Understanding and acting on this wisdom can create a freedom and a power to release you from your painful past and create a life of beauty that has yet to be experienced in your reality. Some are not interested in a life of beauty, harmony and love. They feel this would be boring, dull and uninspired. But the contrary is true – a life lived in harmony with the Divine and released of the painful past is a thrilling joy ride of creation, excitement, and wonder. I challenge you to try it and see for yourself.

May your outer world reflect the miracle that is you.

The Choice of Enlightenment

The path of enlightenment is a choice, a choice we are making every moment of every day.

We cannot only choose it once then be satisfied in the next moment we are on the path to enlightenment. For our egos do not prefer enlightened views of harmony, unity beauty.

The ego seeks to separate us from all other things and create chaos to remain in control. Ego acts in desperate need to control and keep its identity through control of your thoughts actions, perceptions.

If you are finding yourself in chaos, conflict and fear then you are under the control of ego. Once you are aware that you are under the control of ego, you can choose differently.

You can choose to alter your perception to see the beauty behind the chaos, the gift beyond the fear, the wisdom underlying the conflict. Is some one out to harm you, angry at you, in conflict with you?

If you are under the burden of dis-harmony then you can choose a new view to get back on the path to enlightenment.

Take a moment to breathe, to ask for a new perception, view or understanding of the circumstances. Allow your heart to guide your perception.

There is beauty, harmony and unity in all things – we only need to allow our hearts to guide us to see them.

How to Feel the Love

Love

I have heard many times: Love is the answer to all questions, love fulfills all desires, love heals all wounds. But sometimes I’m just not feeling it.

So I asked my Spirit Guide, John the Divine – Why is it so important to feel the love, and, how can we feel it truly and deeply?

His Answer:

When we came to exist in this dimension we agreed to separate ourselves from God and the universal pure divine love that we feel at all times when we are in Spirit. We agreed to experience what it was to be without love. We agreed to fulfill this promise because we wanted to know love more fully. To experience something fully we must also experience the lack of that thing. Some cultures have called this age the Time of Separation.

The Time of Separation has been going on for eons. During the past few eons we have seen the destruction of cultures, races, species and environments. We have lived without love.

A new time is emerging, the Time of Separation is coming to a close, which has been marked by our calendars in the year 2012. We have, humanity has, fulfilled that promise and experienced the lack of love to the fullest. The lack of love has brought us to the utmost brink of our survival on Earth.

Now we have a new promise to fulfill. Now it is time to experience love to the fullest on Earth. Now it is time to feel the universal pure divine love you left behind when you came into body. Now we bring that love here to heal all that was wounded, and create the next experience in our evolution. The World of Peace.

In The World of Peace we are able to feel the universal pure divine love, we see the deep connection we have to each other and God, our intuition increases and there is no veil between heaven and Earth. The Time of Separation is over. This is the lifting of the veil – also known as the apocalypse.

We are overlapping the times, as we feel the new emergence of The World of Peace and we feel the departure of The World of Separation, we may feel confused, conflicted, depressed, and anxious. On top of that the new energy is bringing in peace, harmony, community, and love. Sometimes we even feel both energies at once! Do not be distressed. This is all natural at such an intense time on Earth. Do your best not to judge yourself and take plenty of time outs for self-nurturing, sleep, water, and recreation.

To embrace the new energy of The World of Peace, it is very helpful to meditate, even if only for a few minutes a day. Meditate on feeling love. After you quiet your mind and breathe into your space, ask your Spirit Guides, Angels, and God – any of them or all of them- to give you the feeling of love. Once you have asked just wait to receive. I may take a few times of trying before you really feel the intensity of the love they offer you, but the effort is well worth the gift.
